Itumeleng is an experienced operations manager with valuable experience and a passion for management and business leadership. Skilled in team supervision, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to advance strategic plans and objectives. Mr Marawa has worked for South African Airways for +18 years, as a supervisor (team leader) and Operations manager for 12 years. He has also worked at SAA operations training department as an ad-hoc trainer (facilitator).

Experience, Skills & Expertise

  • To provide support to Team Leaders on all matters of people management and liaising with HR on employee issues causing concern, as well as maintain relations with Labour.
  • Evaluate staff performance and conduct attendance, investigations, disciplinary and grievance meetings.
  • Monitor service levels of contractors to ensure service levels are maintained and take corrective action if failure in delivery.
  • Lead and supervise a team of lead agents and staff in their daily activities and responsibilities, ensuring that passengers and guests are provided with a consistent and high quality service..
  • Responsible for compliance with Health and Safety, SACAA, IATA & ICAO policies and procedures. Ensure compliance for all department training requirements.
  • Conduct internal audit and produce recommendations, action points and time scales for correction. Ensure adherence to budget, Ad-hoc projects as and when required.
  • Manage Airport Operations, Ensure Customer Service standards are met and exceeded Manage Station Emergency practices and procedures & the updating of LERAP (Local emergency response action plan). Management of customer complaints & implement, monitor and improve customer safety and care.
